About Northern Cobalt
Northern Cobalt Ltd is a resource company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of battery and strategic metals such as cobalt, vanadium, lithium and REE (Rare Earth Elements); commodities essential to the renewable energy future of the planet.
The company is led by an experienced team with proven success in corporate finance, marketing, metallurgy and geoscience which equips Northern Cobalt with the tools to meet the growing demands of the energy storage and high-technology markets.
The Company was formed in early 2017 to focus on the advanced Wollogorang Cobalt Project acquired from the Coolabah Group and listing on the ASX in late September 2017. In the first 8 weeks of operations the Company quickly completed ~12,000m of drilling as well as acquiring the Arunta project in Central Australia which is prospective for Lithium and REE. The company has now finished an extensive drilling program to update the known resource at the Stanton Cobalt Deposit to a JORC 2012 compliant resource of 1200 tonnes of contained cobalt.
Northern Cobalt has also undertaken extensive aeromagnetic surveys, IP surveys, and drill testing to define several high priority cobalt-copper targets at the Running Creek and Gregjo prospects.
In December 2018, Northern Cobalt acquired the Snettisham Vanadium project in Southern Alaska and is already planning new aeromagnetic surveys across the project.
The company has also initiated strong lines of communication above the normal ASX requirements such as webinars, video explainers and regular newsletters to "take the shareholders on the journey" with the company.
2018 will see commencement of a scoping study on the Wollogorang Project with parallel exploration activities near the Stanton Cobalt Deposit and early stage field work on the central Australia Lithium and REE project - Arunta.
